Summer Harvest Update at Taza Creek Orchard: What’s Fresh, What’s Blooming, and What’s Coming Soon

Even as the summer sun starts to shift, things are still thriving here at Taza Creek Orchard. Our woman- and veteran-owned farm is tucked into the rolling hills of California. We’re grateful to grow everything with care: from organic passion fruit and fresh-picked Gem avocados to macadamia nuts, eucalyptus, and Protea plants.

Here’s a peek at what’s currently in season, what’s ripening soon, and what’s available to order now.

Still Available: Late-Season Gem Avocados

It’s rare to still have California-grown Gem avocados this late in the season, but our trees are generous this year. These rich, creamy avocados have a smooth texture that makes them a favorite for toast, guacamole, and fresh eating. Quantities are limited, and we expect to sell out soon.

Bonus news: our next Gem avocado crop is already setting for the upcoming season.

Passion Fruit Season Is Almost Here

Our passion fruit vines are thriving and full of fruit that’s just starting to shift from green to deep purple. In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be harvesting an abundance of sweet, tangy passion fruit—perfect for smoothies, desserts, cocktails, or eating right from the shell.

Organic Eureka Lemons – Always In Season

Our fresh organic Eureka lemons are available year-round. Grown without chemicals and harvested regularly, they’re juicy, vibrant, and ideal for cooking, baking, juicing, or natural cleaning. If you love that bright citrus flavor, these are a must-have staple.

Macadamia Nuts – Peak Season & Rich Flavor

These buttery, organic, crunchy nuts are full of flavor and perfect for snacking, baking, or topping salads and bowls. We recently created a homemade, fresh pesto sauce and they were a delicious addition. They’re a unique offering you won’t find at most markets.

Protea Plants – Potted & Blooms Coming Soon

Our Protea plants are strong, healthy, and currently available as potted plants, a bold and exotic addition to any patio or garden. As they come into bloom, we’ll also be offering Protea flowers by the stem, perfect for arrangements, special occasions, or unique gifts. We are running a special on our current favorite, Acacia Baileyana.

Eucalyptus Bunches – Baby Blue & Silver Dollar

We have fresh baby blue eucalyptus and silver dollar eucalyptus available in shower-ready bunches. These aromatic greens are especially popular for weddings, bridal showers, floral arrangements, or even just hanging in your shower for a spa-like experience. They're naturally calming and beautifully fragrant.
